All paintings are sent via UK Parcelforce in partnership with Fedex as a sign for delivery.

Egg of Ra: 2016 – watercolour by Stuart Littlejohn 21 x 30 cm (8.25" x 11.75") – A personal art project.

O Ra in his egg, shining is his disk, rising from his horizon.. (spell 17 Egyptian Book of the Dead)

Egypt had various creation myths, one of which was from the Hermopolitan theology - The Ogdoad.

In this creation myth, the sun god Ra was born from the primordial egg in an event known as the ‘First Occasion’. When Ra hatched from the egg, he created the rest of the world.

In the painting, the Primordial Egg is protected by Uraeus, the cobra guardian of Ra.

The painting is the power and protection of potential.
